Cosimo Bellocci
Who I am
My name is Cosimo Bellocci, and I photograph to bring attention to what usually slips by.
I'm not drawn to spectacle, but a balance between form and reality that speaks quietly.
I’m interested in observing urban spaces, faces, objects, and light. Photography, for me, is a way to organize the gaze, to build a visual narrative made of simple but intentional signs.
My approach is reflective, yet direct. I look for images that are essential and readable, but capable of leaving a trace. I believe a photograph doesn’t have to explain everything — it just needs to open a small breach toward something deeper.
I think of time as a magnet: two equal charges pushing against each other. And we stand there, in between, suspended — caught in that tension between attraction and resistance. That’s the space I try to capture.
